Those are the questions that people ask their selves when they talk about those fields. There might be many controversies about the differences and similarities about Criminal Justice and Criminology. People must think that these two fields are totally different or just the same thing. Consensus model refers to government agencies that work together against crime to maintain order. In the other hand, conflict model means that agencies win more when they compete each other instead of working together to maintain order; this last model has been a serious issue to Criminal Justice System because this can make complicated to maintain public order and keep safety in the streets. People as police, detectives or special agents that work in the criminal justice field have a lot of purposes in democratic society, but the most important for them are: enforce the law of the society, apprehend criminals, prevent crime, preserve do mestic peace and tranquility, and provide the community with needed enforcement-related services (Major Cities). Learning how to improve from one’s failures and being able to repent for them is a crucial characteristic of Greek tragedies. The idea of hamartia or tragic flaw is a predominant motif that can be seen throughout many works from the Ancient Greek time period. Hamartia means to â€Å"miss the mark† (Merriam-Webster) and is often what leads to the demise of the tragic hero. In the play Antigone by Sophocles, this proves to be true (comma or this idea proves to be true) as the tragic flaw of hubris leads to the downfall of two central characters. Hubris is known as a sense of great pride and through Antigone, Creon and Antigone are shown to be strong-willed characters that both—though in different ways—suffer from hubris. Sophocles is able to clearly illustrate how pride, though sometimes constructive, can lead to an individual’s undoing in excessive amounts. Evidence of this is shown through the events leading up to Antigone’s death and when Cr eon reaches an epiphany about his wrong-doings. In comparison to her sister, Ismene, Antigone shows great pride for what she believes to be correct. The way you see the world today, may not be the way you see the world tomorrow. But, the way the world is today, is the way the world will be tomorrow. I hope that was not confusing. The important word in the first sentence is â€Å"see,† and the important word in the second sentence is â€Å"is.† â€Å"See† connotes a perspective, while â€Å"is† connotes an action. William Shakespeare’s, Othello, incorporates both perspective and action, however, Shakespeare adds an additional element: temporality. In Othello, Shakespeare personifies jealousy through the character Iago to argue that our perspectives may be temporary, but our actions are permanent. Jealousy is not incorporeal in Othello. Also, towards the end of Act I, Roderigo, who is with Iago often in the first act, becomes jealou s too. His jealousy is demonstrated in the â€Å"Put money in thy purse† scene (1.3.335-361). If jealousy, defined by Shakespeare, is a monster that is born on itself, then Iago must personify jealousy because his interactions with other characters reproduce his jealousy inside of them.
